An overweight dog is something many owners should be very aware of especially after the middle age of about 7 years of age (depending on its size). 1. Keep an eye on the dog. It’s important that you discipline your dog if they have done a negative action. This way they will associate the fact that if they do some the wrong they will get punished for it. Establish a routine with your puppy. Take him out as often as possible (ideally every two hours), especially after eating or drinking, after playing, and after waking up from a nap. If your puppy has to be alone in the house for several hours, confine him to an area with enough room for a sleeping space, a playing space, and a separate place to eliminate.
